2020 Jeep Cherokee Power & Handling

There are three engines powering the Jeep Cherokee. The standard engine is a 2.4L 4-cylinder that pumps out 171 lb-ft of torque and 180 horsepower. Drivers can also choose the available 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder that creates 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 horsepower. The third engine offered is a 3.2L Pentastar V6 that produces 295 lb-ft of torque and 271 horsepower. Jeep pairs all engines, no matter which trim level they are housed in, to a 9-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting and a comfortable drive. Front-wheel drive is standard for all trim levels and four-wheel drive is available, standard with the Trailhawk.

2020 Ford Escape Power & Handling

In the 2020 model year, the Ford Escape is powered by one of two engines. The base engine is a 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder that produces 190 lb-ft of torque and 181 horsepower. Ford pairs this engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The other engine offered is a 2.0L four-cylinder that produces 280 lb-ft of torque and 250 horsepower. Ford also pairs this engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is available.
