2019 Jeep Cherokee Power & Handling

Jeep powers the Cherokee with one of three engines in the 2019 model year. The first engine, a 2.4-liter inline-4, creates 171 pound-feet of torque and 180 hp. Two drivetrain configurations are available for this engine, FWD and AWD, and fuel economy is estimated at 31 mpg on the highway. The second engine option, a 3.2-liter V6, generates 239 pound-feet of torque and 271 hp. Multiple drivetrain configurations are available for this engine including FWD, AWD, and Active Drive II. Jeep introduced the third and final engine option for the 2019 model year! This turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 295 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. The same three drivetrain configurations available for the V6 engine are available for the new turbocharged engine. Each of the three engines are paired with an automatic nine-speed transmission.

2019 Ford Escape Power & Handling

There are also three powertrain options available for the Ford Escape. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 that produces 170 pound-feet of torque and 168 hp. This engine is only available with front-wheel drive. The second available engine, a 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder, generates 177 pound-feet of torque and 179 hp. This engine can be configured with FWD or AWD. The final engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that creates 275 pound-feet of torque and 245 hp. This engine can also be equipped with either FWD or AWD. Each of the three engines powering the 2019 Escape model are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. 

2019 Jeep Cherokee Features & Design

When choosing a Jeep Cherokee model, there are five trim levels to choose from. The entry-level Latitude model comes outfitted with features like Bluetooth, a folding front passenger seat with a hidden storage compartment in the seat cushion, height-adjustable front seats, automatic xenon headlights, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a rearview camera, six-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen, heated side mirrors, and folding rear seats. Moving up the trim lineup, you will find features like leather upholstery, a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, sound-deadening glass, front and rear parking sensors, navigation, a nine-speaker sound system, cornering lights, and more. The Trailhawk trim comes packed with more off-roading features so you can take on the great outdoors.

2019 Ford Escape Features & Design

There are only four Escape trim levels available for the 2019 model year. The standard features for this model include a 4.2-inch display screen located in the center console, automatic headlights, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth, CD player, a six-speaker sound system, air conditioning, a rearview camera, and height-adjustable driver seat. The other trim levels build upon the entry-level trim with additional features like automatic dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, nine-speaker sound system, premium cloth upholstery, paddle shifters, and roof rack rails.
