2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Power & Handling

Engine options are something that the 2019 Grand Cherokee has in spades. In fact, there are five different engines available with this SUV. The base model is a 3.6-liter V6, which creates 260 lb-ft of torque and 295 hp. Moving up in the lineup is a 5.7-liter V8, which generates 390 lb-ft of torque and 360 hp. A diesel option is a 3.0-liter diesel V6, which can produce 420 lb-ft of torque and 240 hp. Specific to the SRT trim is a 6.4-liter V8, which is capable of 470 lb-ft of torque and 475 hp. Finally, the Trackhawk model features a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which can pump out 645 lb-ft of torque and 707 hp. All of the Grand Cherokee models, regardless of the engine, gets an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Ford Edge Power & Handling

Only two engine options are available with the 2019 Edge. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. This engine can generate up to 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel or all-wheel drive are available. The other available engine is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6, which produces 380 pound-feet of torque and 335 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard. Both of these engines get an eight-speed automatic transmission. The fact is, Ford's engine lineup for Edge isn't all that impressive, especially when you think about the power that can be produced throughout the Grand Cherokee's lineup.

2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Features & Design

Not only does the Grand Cherokee offer a great selection of engines, but it also comes with seven trim levels. The base trim, named Laredo, comes standard with keyless ignition and entry, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker sound system, 17-inch wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen, rear parking sensors, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Another trim, Summit, adds active noise-canceling technology, 20-inch wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, additional noise-reducing window glass, a suite of advanced safety features, a self-parking system, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, an exterior styling flourishes. The most off-road oriented model, Trackhawk, includes an upgraded adaptive suspension, 20-inch lightweight wheels, and unique design cues.

2019 Ford Edge Features & Design

Compared to the seven trims offered with the Grand Cherokee, only four trims are offered with the 2019 Edge. The base model, SE, comes with Bluetooth, a 4.2-inch central display screen, a 6-speaker sound system, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a USB port, voice controls, rear privacy glass, 18-inch wheels, and automatic wipers. Another trim is SEL, which adds upgraded cloth upholstery, rear parking sensors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, an exterior keyless entry pad, and an 8-inch touchscreen display. The highest model is Titanium, which includes ambient interior lighting, 19-inch wheels, a 110-volt household-style power outlet, leather upholstery, driver-seat memory settings, a hands-free liftgate, and front sport seats.
